Book Local Artists Historians to Join You at a Restaurant
Short on nights and want to try Charleston's amazing restaurants? Select from a list of local artists, authors, or historians etc., to join you for dinner. You buy their dinner and pay their fee.

The Guestaurant App formally launches in Charleston, SC in February 2026. The first dinners will be held in April 2026. Below you can still join the lists to become a Host, Guest, or both. In January we will send you detailed directions on how to complete the full application on the App that will be released in February.
Note: Charleston benefits from almost 8,000,000 visitors each year. However, the Host list will be closed when it reaches 200 people. The Guest list will be closed when it reaches 1,000 people. Those will be the only people who are invited to submit the full application in February. Satisfactory background checks for Hosts and Guests are required for membership on Guestaurant.
Join Host List
Apply to become one of Charleston's first 100 hosts. If successful, you will be able to share your local dishes, your dining room, your historical and cultural knowledge, and make an income and new friends. To apply, you must have lived in Charleston for at least 10 years.
Charleston has almost 8,000,000 visitors each year.
Join Expert List
Build your profile so that Guestaurant Guests can decide of they wish to invite you to dinner. They pay your fee and for your dinner. Minimum 2 hours, during which you will provide them with insights into the history and culture of our great city.
You must prove an appropriate background.
Join Guest List
If you do not wish to be a host in your hometown or city, apply to join as a guest so that you can enjoy the experience wherever Guestaurant has been launched.
Note that we are launching in Charleston, SC a city steeped in American History, one of its "Foodie" capitals, and replete with many colorful cultures.
